Color Wall 1 is Eric Carlson’s first collaboration with the renowned Venezuelan Master Optics Artist Carlos Cruz-Diez for the installation in their first building designed for Longchamp. Positioned at the end of the 30meter long entry axis Cruz-Diez created the 6meter high kinetic installation named “Transchromie.” This mesmerizing work is composed of transparent sheets of intensely colored acetate that individually rotate to continually meld into a diverse vertical spectrums of multi-colors reflect the architecture, the emblematic “pliage” bags and finally the energy and creativity of the Longchamp brand.
